We had booked an SUV Intermediate size for three adults. On arrival we were told that the vehicle booked was too small. we disagreed. we were pressed to take additional insurance- for windscreen damage, breakdown, etc, costing some 100 dollars. we refused. We do not need this after travelling for hours from UK.

After that it got better. we had choice of vehicles, selcted a KIA Sportage on advice from a relative. It was comfortable. After some minutes on the road we noted that the seats were badly marked, that the odometer showed over 45000 miles covered. But it drove beautifully for 16 days. It was economical, did not break down. the only other criticism was that there was no remote locking operation. In fact we were comfortable, it accepted all our luggage in the back without any restriction of vision or seating.

Return of vehicle was excellent. Directions were good . signs from 112 were clear all the way to the site. Check out was simple and quick. bus service to airport was efficient, helpful driver.

Overall a credit to Alamo. but next time we will choose a lower mileage vehicle.
