Altogether, renting a car from Avis, Le Royal, was a miserable experience. And it began so promising: The agent kindly offered to bring the car to my house. When I saw it I gathered the reason for this wonderful service: I did not have a chance to refuse it because I wanted to leave half an hour later. It was battered all around and even missing a cap on one wheel.

On my return, immediately after departure I had a flat tire. Looking at it, I realized that the tire had hardly any profile, and the inner ring was bent. The spare tire was damaged, and could not be used.

Having driven a few hours, I needed to fill up water because it had been overheating.

The GPS did not work properly on the way home.

Asking the agent for some compensation by making me a good offer for another car I wanted for one day he did not come up with anything reasonable.

I am still waiting to be reimbursed for the extra expenses I had regarding the tire and the water.
