I recently rented a Chevy Cruise at the Rancho Bernardo Avis.  I have been renting cars from this agency since moving to RB in 1998.  I noticed that it changed operator's sometime earlier in the year.  Since then they have never had the class of vehicles that I have attempted to order.  The Chevy Cruise was the option I chose when the full sized car I requested was not available.  After using the car on a business trip I topped off the gas tank at our local ARCO.  Having driven cars for over 50 years and never having one not register full after filling the tank I returned the car without looking at the gas gauge.  The lady working the counter looked at the car and told me the tank was not full & wanted a $10 fee for filling the tank.  I took the car back to the gas stating and after coaxing the handle on the pump I was able to put $2 more into the tank.  I will never be returning to this AVIS and would strongly recommend that if you wish to do business with these people BE CAREFUL.
