We arrived in 2 hours from Atlantic City to Orlando to start our vacation. That was the great news, we walked up to claim our luggage and within a few minutes were on our way to get our rental car.

  Budget Rentals counter loomed in the distance as we walked up to the 'counter' area right in the airport. This is where the worst travel experience I've ever had started. There was roughly 60 people in line. The line stretched outside the roped areas and down the terminal area with nothing but a lot of kids waiting for their parents and getting more impatient as time grew on.

   I looked at the counter, this was the bad sign, it was 8:30pm and there was only 3 working Budget employees upon me joining the line. Most people in the line had reserved their car in advance as I had, I has already paid for the rental, I just needed to sign the dotted line and get my keys. I spent 1 hour and 40 minutes in that line. It was the worst thing to happen to me travelling in my life, and I'm 45 and have been travelling for years.

   There was a brief apology but these clerks could care less at the wait that everyone had. There were stations for 12-14 workers at this counter but they only had 3 working even though these rental customers were expected to arrive at the counter. Poor, poor, poor. I will never rent from Budget again over this.

   Once we finally got our car, every thing about our vacation exceeded expectation, but this wait was completely the fault of Budget and they never offered to make good for it with an upgrade or anything. Budget has lost me as a customer, not only when coming to Orlando, I mean everywhere.
