Please remember that your credit card insurance is only valid if the primary driver's name in the rental contract matches the name on the credit card that is used for payment. The second condition to qualify for credit card insurance is that you decline CDW/LDW offered by your car rental company.
Most credit card issuers have similar policies. Primary coverage means you don't need to file a claim with your personal insurance company and so you don't affect your premium. For most cards they provide secondary CDW with primary CDW with better terms being provided with corporate cards only. None of the above covers exotic, luxury and vintage cars and usually comes with a limit of several tens of thousands of USD (usually $50,000).
