The longer I'm using Enterprise (usually as a replacement for my small car when traveling out of town with my family, but also twice when my vehicle was broken) the better opinion I hold of this car rental company. I feel it's in fact them who tries harder. One possible reason is that they serve mostly the community and are dependent on locals, returning customers, unlike other car rentals who can use the bait and switch tactics as their customer - usually a leisure traveler - is unlikely to come back to the same branch. Anyway, I'm encountering more frequently than before that Enterprise is short of cars. No problem if you need a compact size, they upgrade you for bigger, but it happened to us recently that they didn't have the mini-van for our family-trip. We eventually got one, but only after waiting for two hours. People at Enterprise were polite and helpful and we got a discount. In our case this was OK, but if you are on an urgent business, two hours can be critical.
