Car rental reservation made over Internet with Europcar - we have arrived in the late afternoon to East Midlands airport, we found the counter, all went well and fast - no people waiting, it was just us there. We got all the papers, UK map, instruction where to find our car and directions to Sheffield - our destination. Finding our car was easy, but to depart from the parking was not so, as I was not regular to the UK driving system, driving on opposite side of road, but I got used to it quite quickly - (it took me 1 or 2 days) - you should be very careful, as it is quite strange to drive on the opposite side - the gear and hand break is on your left side and you have to remember all the time to keep the correct direction...

IT IS VERY HELPFUL, THAT WE HAD A CAR WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION, AS YOU CAN CONCENTRATE MORE FOR DRIVING AND DEALING WITH THE OPPOSITE SIDE DRIVING - I WOULD STRONGLY SUGGEST IT TO ALL OF YOU, WHO ARE NOT REGULAR WITH UK DRIVING SYSTEM!

Anyway, our experience with Europcar was very good, nothing to comply, staff was friendly and fast, the car was almost new, comfortable and clean. The price for our car rental was inclusive of full cover insurance, no hidden surprises  and we got a good price deal for our car.

I would suggest Europcar at East Midlands airport to anyone looking for car hire at this airport.
