Now, I'm trying to write an unbiased review about Europcar, a company that is at least rather controversial in its policies but I'm still using it for a good reason. The reason is PRICE. First of all, I'm talking about renting a car in Europe, most often in Paris, most often at CHDG Airport. You can hardly find a better deal than you'll get from EuropCar. But don't rush to give them your CC number if you are not experienced with car rentals! There are several tricks they will sometimes try and you should be prepared to deal with. First of all, the scratches and all those small blemishes on your vehicle. All must be well registered and signed by both sides, unless you want to pay for them. If you experience an accident or some car part gets broken, make sure they take the responsibility and you won't be billed later. Make sure they don't bill you for something (like CDW) you don't want - you must do this during reservation, when you sign the contract. You may wonder why I still rent from EuropCar. The problem with mainstream companies like Hertz is that you are paying more anyway, it's just not called rip-off. And quite often, they also try those little tricks I described here...
