| Review of Goldcar® Tenerife Car Hire |
We recently used Goldcar rental while on holiday in Tenerife. The car itself , a Fiat Punto was fine although we had to clean the inside of the windscreen before we set off (as it was very dusty). However, until we collected the car at the airport, we were not aware that there would be a charge for a full tank of fuel. This system appears to be a good money making scheme for Goldcar but not good for the customer! We have always hired a car when travelling in Spain, to save on transfer costs to and from the hotel and to utilise it for some day trips. Having to pay for a full tank of fuel, when not needed, defeats the point! and has definitely cost us considerably more than planned.
