Beware Goldcar!!

We used them in 2009 from Valencia airport. The pick up office is now outside the airport so you have to bus it.

They didn't have the car that we hired - got a Citroen Berlingo instead of a hatchback.

They tried to charge extra because the Berlingo was diesel.

The fuel is overpriced.

Worst of all, we booked 'fully comp' with CDW insurance online only to be told on arrival that we had to pay an extra 60 Euro for insurance. If we didn't pay this we were told that "Any accident which is your fault will not be covered at all". At this point you have no choice because you need a car and you can't check any alternative car hire companies because you're away from the airport - I believe it is a cynical ploy to win business online & then increase the charges later.

When I complained at the hire desk they directed me to online customer services. Online customer services just directed me back to the local hire desk.

My advice is DON'T DO IT!!
