Car Rental FAQ
If my rental car has flat tire, who pays for it?
Car rental deals usually do not cover flat tires, so if you don't have a special car rental insurance ( which covers flat tire), you are liable for the repair. The same applies to damages of windshields, bottom and roof of the car and lost keys.
It's important to read well the car rental conditions to check what is included in your deal and what is not.
You can usually purchase extra insurance from car rental provider or broker, which would cover these extra parts. Cheaper option may be to use one of the private insurance companies offering special car rental insurance covers, that include also flat tire, windshield or lost keys.
If you would like to be covered for damage on tires, windows, undercarriage and roof, you may consider buying the Daily Excess insurance - it's not that expensive and can save you quite a lot of money... This insurance is valid Worldwide for all car rental companies and locations, check for details.
