Hours of operation for LAX car rental agencies

We are arriving on an international flight arriving at 12:30 a.m. and will be renting a car for our travels in the L.A. area.  I am not able to find hours of operation for the car rental location at LAX (offsite, I know).  Does each company have separate operating hours at the location?

each car rental company at LAX airport has own opening hours, but most (may be all of them) are open 24 hours a day

If I already booked a car rental at one agency in the LAX airport, didn’t have to give my credit card number, if I find a cheaper rental, can I still book that one?

it is good to cancel your reservation with the car rental agency, if you do not need it (you got better deal from some other car rental company) - as they keep the car for you and if you do not pick it up, then they are loosing money for your no show

LAX car rental location - shuttle bus

Where are the car rental shuttles located in LAX? Is there just one station there or are there more of them at the airport?

Some car rental companies (namely Advantage, Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, Fox, Payless, National and Thrifty) have their shuttles leaving from rental car isles, under the purple sign depicting a key and a car. These are on the lower lever (arrivals). For other companies, you need to use courtesy phones to arrange for a pick up. Their shuttles are leaving from the car rental terminal that is accessible by the bus at Lot C (the same level – arrivals).
