I’m renting at JFK airport quite often and I never wait for long. There are some exceptions, usually if the guy in front of you has some issue with the car rental, but this is not common. I guess the reason is rental cars are pretty useless in NYC, so the car hire market here is nothing like Orlando, California or Texas.

Hi. I’m sorry to tell you that there are no cars actually parked at JFK. You’ll find the kiosks and registration counters there but to get to your car you actually have to use the AirTrain to the Federal Circle station. We did it the last summer and it was the easiest part of our trip :-) Driving in NYC is a hassle…
