We've just come back from holiday in Lanzarote and booked through carhire3000.com. At the airport we were forced to pay up front in cash €55 for fuel - no receipt was given!. It doesn't take long to realise that it is nigh on impossible to get though an entire tank of fuel in a week on an island as small as Lanzarote. Of course when we returned the car and asked for the fuel refund for the quarter of a tank we had left we were given a lot of shoulder shrugging and told tough. 

On top of this the Toyota Yaris we were given was in an awful state. It had dents and scratched paintwork all over. It also stank as it hadn't been cleaned for a very long time. Whilst it served its purpose in getting us from A to B I will never rent again from this company.
