When you are in Israel, you are in the Middle East - place of bargaining for deals.

When I got to the Hayarkon Shlomo Sixt branch/counter willing to rent a car, I was offered price, which at the end, after 15 minutes of talks, negotiation and phone calls to the boss, was lowered by 40%.

The staff was friendly, but I would appreciate little bit more Western approach - I do not like bargaining - but also I do not like to pay more than necessary... Hayarkon street is very busy and getting the car at so small area with so heavy traffic was not easy.

We travelled to Jerusalem, Netanya and other cities - the car was good and we had no problems with it.

We would use Shlomo Sixt again, as we have learned during our stays in Israel, that the above described is just regular way of life and it is very similar at other car rental companies in Israel...
